Chocolate Bread

This is a big favourite as you can imagine!

A simple addition or two to your basic recipe produces a loaf that brings all the flavour and aroma of chocolate to your bread experience.

Simply substitute some of the flour in the one rise dough recipe with an equal amount of good quality, fair-traded, cocoa powder to your taste up to six tablespoons. You may also want to add an extra tablespoon of honey to make the bread sweeter too but keep an eye on your hydration levels, don’t make the dough too wet. Around 65% hydration works well.

For an extra special treat add dark chocolate drops to the dough at the end of the kneading time.
